Fastlink Telecom is one of the leading carriers in Kurdistan. They’re best known for their 4G LTE coverage of the country which they were the first to introduce in 2013. This made them one of the top choices for both Mi-Fi (mobile Wi-Fi hotspot) and staying connected on other smart devices. Also, their bundles and scratch cards have a good reputation for affordable data combined with FUP (Fair Usage Policy) while roaming. Finally, Fast Pay, their sister company, makes paying quick and effortless via the mobile wallet. With that out of the way, here’s how to activate Fastlink SIM card.

1. Activate Fastlink SIM card on Android

Fastlink SIM card activation on Android works like this:

  1. Insert a SIM card and turn the phone on.
  2. Go to Settings, then Network & Internet.
  3. Go to Mobile network, then select the current SIM tab.
  4. Tap on Advanced, then Access Point Names.
  5. Tap on Add or + sign in the upper right corner.
  6. Under Name, enter “fastlink”.
  7. Under APN, type “fastlink”.
  8. Scroll down, then under Bearer, select “LTE”.
  9. Tap on the three-dot menu in the upper right corner, then select Save.
  10. Enable mobile data and test it. If nothing happens, restart your Android device and try again.

2. Activating Fastlink SIM card on iOS

Follow these steps to activate Fastlink SIM card on Apple devices:

  1. Insert the SIM card.
  2. Tap on Settings then select Cellular.
  3. Tap on Cellular Data Options.
  4. Under Voice, select “LTE”, then tap on Cellular Data Network below.
  5. Do the same as step 7 above, but both under APN (Cellular Data), and APN (LTE Setup ( Optional)).
  6. Save changes. Enable then disable Airplane Mode and the signal should appear.

3. Activation of a Fastlink eSIM card

Fastlink offers an embedded SIM card service. All you need to do is follow steps 7 and 8 in method 3 in our Vodafone Idea SIM card activation guide. You can find the QR code on the SIM card package you received or use the method below to have it sent to you via e-mail.
