Jazz is the leading Pakistani mobile carrier best-known for its fiber-optic network. To add credence to that claim, they won Ookla’s Pakistan’s Speedtest Award for the period between the first and second quarters of 2019. Nowadays, they offer 4G coverage in all major cities in Pakistan, and select parts of the country. Plus, the carrier started testing the 5G network as early as January 2020 and has made drastic progress, both in speed and availability country-wide. Has this hyped you up into learning how to activate a Jazz SIM card lickety-split? If it has, let’s get straight into it.
1. Activate Jazz SIM card manually
In most cases, you don’t have to anything except insert the SIM card, turn the smart device on, and wait for the network signal to appear. The reason? The store employees or Jazz rider that delivers the SIM card activate it for you. The only times there are steps required to activate Jazz SIM card are these:
1. Activating a new Jizz SIM card under specific conditions
When ordering a SIM card online or by dialing *5299#, and it gets delivered by a courier instead of a Jazz representative. Or, you bought a SIM card anywhere outside of their retail stores. In both cases, you provided personal details – directly to the salesperson or via USSD code. Therefore, all that’s left is to do some of the following:
- Dial *444# to activate any of the prepaid bundles or specific offers.
- Dial *7626# to activate the international roaming bundle, if you’re away from Pakistan.
- Call *191# if you want to activate a 7-day “New Sale Offer” (usually 1000 minutes, 1000 SMS, 1 GB data).
- Call *303# to sign up for a custom prepaid bundle (“Make Your Own Offer”) plan.
2. Reactivate an old Jazz SIM card
Are you an old Jazz customer that hasn’t used their prepaid SIM card for 30 or more days? Although it expired, you might be eligible for the “SIM Lagao Reactivation Offer”. To check and reactivate the Jazz SIM card, do one of the following:
- Visit “https://jazz.com.pk/prepaid/sim-lagao-offer” in your browser.
- Dial *551# or *5510# from your phone.
