1. Click on Photos on your iPhone
2. Click on Select and choose the photos that you would like to transfer

4. As you do this, you will see the list of Apple devices that is available near your phone
5. Click on the device you wish to share the photos
6. As you do this, you will find the receiving phone getting a notification ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’
7. As you click on ‘Accept’ the files are transferred instantly

The photos shall be saved in the Photo folder on the iPhone.

To share the photos through Airdrop

1. Turn on Airdrop on your phone
2. If the receiving phone number is in your contact list, you can select the option Airdrop to Contacts only.
3. Else, you can also click on ‘Everyone’
4. As usual, the receiving phone shall receive the notification to accept or to decline
5. Click on Accept to accept the files to be transferred

You can receive the files through this method without the use of the cellphone network or even the internet connection. This happens through Bluetooth, and now you can send and receive files from any Apple device through this method. However, the distance of the devices matters a lot here. As it functions through Bluetooth, the devices have to be close enough to have the files transferred without any interruption. Alternatively, you can also block the Airdrop service if your phone is majorly accessed by your kids as well. This will avoid unnecessary transfer of files to any Mac devices.
