How to check balance in StarHub SIM card

Check Balance in StarHub

StarHub Limited, commonly referred to as StarHub, is the Singaporean multinational wireless network service provider. The company was founded in the year 1998 and set its headquarters in Singapore. StarHub operates mainly in the aforementioned country, though it has operations in some other countries as well. The company has more than 2 million subscribers and is the country’s second-largest wireless carrier with a 30% market share. With such a big market portion and a huge customer base, there are certainly users who are interested in knowing how to manage their StarHub account and check the balance of their SIM card.

There are majorly 3 ways to check the balance in your StarHub connection, and they are:

  1. Using USSD codes
  2. Via mobile application
  3. Using the official web portal of the company

Check StarHub SIM Card Balance via USSD Codes

You might’ve heard USSD codes being called star codes or short codes. They are short and simple so that the users can remember them easily, meaning this is likely the fastest and most convenient way to check your balance. Furthermore, it’s an offline method, so you don’t need to have an internet connection or even a smartphone to use it. Even a simple feature phone is sufficient to do the job. All you need to have is good signal strength and a StarHub SIM card in your phone. Some common short codes are as follows:

  • *123# : StarHub services menu.
  • *123*1*1# : To check the main balance.
  • *123*1*2# : To check the Happy Plans balance.
  • *123*1*3# : To check the Data Plans.
  • *123*7*1# : To change language to English.
  • *123*7*2# : To change language to Chinese.
  • *123*7*3# : To change language to Bahasa Indonesia.

Reminder. It’s important to note that you should dial these codes using only your StarHub connection, otherwise it won’t work.

Checking Balance through Mobile Application

StarHub has a mobile application named My StarHub. It’s designed as a user-friendly interface for subscribers to look up their balance, manage their accounts, and do a wide array of things anytime and anywhere effortlessly. The following steps will help you to use this app to check your balance:

  1. Download the My StarHub app from Play Store (for Android devices) or Apple App Store (for Apple devices).
  2. Install and open the app, and you will see the login screen.
  3. Log in using your StarHub mobile number or email address along with your password
  4. Tip. If you don’t have an account already on StarHub, register one for yourself first.
  5. After logging in, you will see the dashboard containing all your balance-related information (voice, text, and data) and its expiration date.

You can manage multiple accounts (StarHub phone numbers) on a single app with a few taps. Also, you can use the application even when outside the home network signal coverage. All you need is a Wi-Fi connection to access your account information.

Check Balance of a StarHub SIM Card via the Official Website

For all those users who don’t want to download and keep My StarHub app to save space on their phone, using the official web portal of StarHub is the best option. It’s an online method and works the same way the app does, except downloading is unnecessary. You can use it through any device (smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC) anytime and anywhere. The following steps will help you inspect your StarHub SIM card balance on their website:

  1. Visit the official website of StarHub directly (https://www.starhub.com/) or through a search engine.
  2. Log in to My Account Manager on the website using your Hub iD.
  3. Tip. Your Hub iD is your email address you used while registering your account. Again, if you don’t have an account already, create one.
  4. After you are logged in, you will be able to see your balance information and the date it expires on the homepage.

Like the app, the website lets users manage multiple accounts. You can access your balance information from any point in the world as long as you’re connected to the Internet.

View Postpaid Due Bill Amount

You can check your postpaid bill amount from My StarHub app and StarHub website the same way as you do for your prepaid balance checks. But there is one more way to check your due bill amount. It involves using text messages and works like this: Type “<NRIC>, bill, <StarHub Account No>” without quotation marks and send it to 2455. For example, S1234567A, bill, 1.23456789 to 2455. SMS charges may apply.

Final Word

The methods given above are all user-friendly, simple, and can be used interchangeably depending on the user’s convenience and familiarity. After all, you don’t need to be tech-savvy to use them. Even a layman can take advantage of any without a hassle.
