EE stands for Everything Everywhere, and it is the second-largest wireless carrier in the UK, serving 26.1 million subscribers as of September 2021. It started as a joint venture between Germany’s Deutsche Telekom and France’s France Telecom in 2010, but later, in 2016, BT acquired it. The company offers myriad recharge plans for its PAYG (Pay-As-You-Go) SIM cards. Moreover, there are different ways to reload them, which we will discuss in this article. Thus, without further delay, let’s look into some common methods to recharge your EE SIM card.
1. Recharging Through E-Vouchers and E Top-Up Cards
An E-voucher is a card or receipt with a 16-digit code you can buy from EE shops and thousands of Payzone, Paypoint, or Epay stores across the UK. The steps to refill your EE SIM with an E-voucher are as follows:
- Open the text messenger app and type VO (space) the 16-digit code.
- Send the text to 150.
- You may also call on 150 from your EE SIM card and follow the voice instructions.
On the other hand, an E top-up card has 13 digits, and it comes with your EE SIM card. Follow these steps to use this card:
- Open the text messenger app and type ETU (space) the 13-digit code.
- Send the text to 150.
- You can also call on 150 from your EE SIM card and follow the instructions on the voice machine.
As for the price, you can visit the nearest Paypoint, Payzone, or Epay store and purchase the E top-up card for between 5 GBP and 50 GBP. After recharging successfully, you will receive a confirmation SMS.
2. Recharge EE SIM Card Via Text Messages
To top up your EE SIM card using text messages, you first need to register your credit card or debit card number on the My EE website or the My EE app. After you note your debit/credit card, follow these two simple steps:
- Open your messaging app and type CR (space) last 4 digits of your card (space) the top-up amount (available from 5 GBP to 95 GBP).
- Send the text to 150.
For example, if you want to top up with 5 GBP and your card’s last 4 digits are 0123, type “CR 0123 5” and send this message to 150.
3. Topping Up Through Phone Call
The option of reloading your EE phone is available via phone call too. If you are in the UK, call 150 from your EE SIM card and then select the Top-up option on the voice prompt. However, if you are out of the UK, you can call +44-7953-966-250 from a SIM card other than EE. Finally, if you have your EE SIM card with you, use it to call 360. Follow the voice command and choose the Top-up option.

- Install and open the app.

Closing Words
If you want to cancel your recurring top-up payments, you have three ways to do this. The first is through My EE (already discussed above). Secondly, you can call 150, and thirdly, you may type STOP REC and send it to 150 as SMS. Moreover, you can top up someone else’s EE SIM card via My EE (under the “Fast Payments” feature). Alternatively, you can buy an EE top-up voucher for your loved ones and friends and activate it from your device. It is important to check the EE balance after reloading to confirm.
