Check Balance using SMS

This is an offline method to check balance which is quite convenient. It neither requires any internet connection nor a smart device – a simple feature phone can do the job. The process only has 2 steps:

  1. Type “BAL” as a text in your messaging app.
  2. Send the text to 333, and in a moment, you’ll receive a SMS reply containing all your balance-related information. 

Checking Balance via Call

One more offline method of checking the balance in Spark SIM card is to make a call. Just dial *333, hit the call button, and follow the instructions on the IVR machine. You will get to know the details of your voice minutes, texts, and data usage.

Examine Balance using Spark App

Spark app is available on both Apple’s iOS Store and Google Play Store. Though it is an online method to check balance via the app, it doesn’t use much data. Before using the app, you first need to create an account for yourself if you’re a first-time user. The steps to create your account on MySpark are:

  1. Open the Spark app. Choose an email address you want to use for your account and set password. 
  2. Check your email address and click on the verification link.
  3. Log in to MySpark with your new login details.
  4. After you log in, your account details will be shown on the dashboard. You can view balance-related information like data, voice, and text in detail on the app.

Another online method to check the balance in Spark is to use its official website. Here are the steps on how to do it:

  1. Visit the website at www.spark.co.nz.
  2. Sign in with your email address and password.
  3. Tip. If you don’t have an account, create one using the steps mentioned in the previous section of this article.
  4. After logging in, a dashboard will open.
  5. Click on the Check Usage button to see your account details. It will show you the balance of your voice minutes, text and data.

Examine Postpaid Bill Amount

You can check your postpaid bill amount either using an online MySpark account or the Spark app. You can even acquire a bill history for the last 18 months. It is important to note that if you sign in using your Spark mobile number, you won’t be able to see your bills. You can see your bills only when you log in using your email ID.

Inspect Postpaid Due Bill Amount through MySpark Online Account

Follow the simple steps to check your due bill amount via MySpark online account:

  1. Open the official website of Spark mentioned above.
  2. Log in using your email address and password. 
  3. If you use multiple accounts on Spark, you must first select the account whose bill you want to check.
  4. Tip. You can do this by selecting the account at the top right of the page.
  5. Click on the “Bill & Payment” option.
  6. Above the Overview graph, click on the “My Bills” tab.
  7. Next to the View Previous Bill, click on the date and select the bill you want to view.
  8. Then click the View Bill as PDF option in the drop-down menu.
  9. Now it will automatically download your bill in the PDF format. You can also choose to print it out in that format.

Checking Postpaid Due Bill Amount using the Spark App

Follow the simple steps to check your due bill amount via the Spark app:

  1. Download the Spark app from Google Play Store or iOS App Store.
  2. Log in to the app.
  3. Select the Spark service you want to view the bill for from the top of the screen.
  4. Click the View Bill button.
  5. Next to the Previous Bill option, select the date. On the drop down menu, you will see your last 18 months bills.
  6. Select the bill you want to see and then click Done.
  7. Now you need to click on View.
